Ilopango, San Salvador
The centerpiece of this park is volcanic Ilopango Lake. The crater lies beneath the lake floor; the caldera formed from a catastrophic eruption that sent massive pyroclastic flows across various Mayan settlements.
Visitors to this park can enjoy the boardwalk, pier, and lighthouse, as well as swimming pools, picnic areas, restaurants, and a modern soccer stadium.
