Nombre de Jesús: Chalatenango Sur

This hidden gem provides a unique panorama of multiple iconic landmarks of El Salvador at once.

From Cerro Eramón's summit, you can spot the lakes formed by the 5 de Noviembre and Cerron Grande hydroelectric dams, the Lempa River, Sumpul River, and the Chinchontepec, San Salvador, Guazapa, and Chaparrastique volcanoes. The majestic volcanoes of Izalco, Cerro Verde and El Chingo tower to the west.

This is a perfect spot for hiking and camping, where spectacular sunrises and sunsets create unforgettable moments.

The climate at Eramón can be quite warm, so bring plenty of water.

The nearby Sumpul River Tourist Center beckons, with cool and crystal-clear water; bring a bathing suit for a refreshing swim.
