Surf City

Tamanique: La Libertad Costa. Tunco is a quintessentially Salvadoran term for "pig," and El Tunco Beach is El Salvador's most iconic surf destination. The name comes from an enormous semi-submerged boulder on the beach that, in years past, suggested the shape of a friendly pig.

Chiltiupán: La Libertad Costa. El Zonte is one of the most iconic surf destinations in El Salvador. This small coastal community sits at kilometer 53 of the coastal highway, in the municipality of Chiltiupán, department of La Libertad.

La Libertad Costa. Punta Roca beach sits on the outskirts of the port city of La Libertad, just steps away from the services and attractions that this vibrant port town has to offer.

Chirilagua: San Miguel Centro. Las Flores beach is located in the department of San Miguel. You'll discover a stunning small inlet that marks the beginning of a series of rocky points with right point breaks that are perfect for surfing.

Tamanique. El Sunzal is quite possibly the beach where surfing began in El Salvador. Since the first American surfers arrived in the late 1960s in search of the perfect wave, this epic long point break of right waves has been a favorite for locals and foreigners.

Usulután Este. Punta Mango is a legendary beach located in the eastern department of Usulután. Until recently, this beach was known only to a fortunate few. Now it is on the bucket list for any adventurous surfer.

The Gulf of Fonseca sprawls where El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua converge at the Pacific Ocean. The Gulf's crown jewel is the breathtaking seascape dotted with islands in the Pacific waters.

La Paz Centro. A diferencia de las formaciones rocosas y farallones que caracterizan las playas del oriente y el occidente del país, esta área está rodeada por un hermoso valle, en el que es fácil divisar algunos de los más hermosos y majestuosos volcanes salvadoreños, a cuyos pies hay mares de ondulantes cañales y otros cultivos locales.

San Miguel Centro. Considerado uno de los destinos favoritos en el oriente de El Salvador, la playa El Cuco es un lugar que por su belleza y atractivos, no te puedes perder.

Acajutla: Sonsonate Oeste. Los Cóbanos es una pequeña comunidad de pescadores en la costa del occidental departamento de Sonsonate, ubicada a 11 kilómetros al oriente del municipio y Puerto de Acajutla.
