The natural beauty of this hill, its views, but above all the easy access to the summit and its history make the Perquín hill an attraction of Morazán.
Despite its altitude (1,321 meters above sea level), climbers will reach the top in approximately 10 minutes, thanks to the trails. Once at the summit the leafy nature of the mountain area and the city of Perquín will be at view.
During the armed conflict this site was a combat area, so it has many tales and tattoos, through which you can enjoy the scenic beauty overlooking the Llano del Muerto forest and the Sierra del Merendón (Honduras). As well as the Sapo river, waterfalls and historic towns.
The area is considered fit for ecotourism, the Sapo River area is of great ecological importance, reason why camping areas were built, although there is also a network of rural hostels and suitable country cabins to please any visitor.
