A 100% extreme adventure!
The largest mangrove swamp complex in the Northern Pacific region is located in La Barra de Santiago, in the western part of El Salvador. It is definitely a unique and not easy to miss ecosystem if you are into wildlife or not.
A wildlife adventure awaits you: alligators, crocodiles and sea turtles are some of the species that you will find at this magical place.
La Barra de Santiago has intertidal beaches. This phenomenon causes the beach to run dry for a few minutes and fill up again in a matter of seconds. This is, without a doubt, a dip that you will want to take in the afternoon, while enjoying a unique sunset.
Visiting the mangrove swamps by taking a boat ride and photograph the best of the wildlife in the area or just enjoy the warm sea breeze while resting in a hammock will be an experience to remember.
