It is located 81 kms. from San Salvador. Located at the heart of the Route of the Flowers, this municipality has a variety of art galleries, traditional mosaics and also, part of its architectonic beauty is San Miguel Arcángel Church. La Ceiba Plaza, located at the entrance of the municipality, displays in its façade, a mural of Quetzalcoatl which in Nahuatl means “Feathered Snake”, reminds us of El Salvador’s pre- Columbian origins.
