A town of pre-Columbian origin, the scenery, culture and cobbled streets was sufficient to name part of the Flowers Route. Its name of Nahuat origin means “Place of sacred water”. Known for being a very colorful town since most of its walls have been decorated with colorful and creative murals referencing Salvadoran culture.
