Located at the Planes de Renderos Canton, 12 kilometers from San Salvador, Balboa Park is considered the first “Tourist Center” in the country with its 74.8 acres of abundant vegetation, part of El Salvador’s main ecological reserves.
The park has different entertainment areas, playground areas, a modern soccer field with synthetic grass, bicycle trails, children’s games, and picnic areas.
Other main attractions include pre-Columbian monuments such as: the “Goddess of Rain”, “God of Fire” and the “God of Spells”. Balboa Park is also known as the place where El Salvador´s main and most tasted dish is sold, the famous pupusas, that can be found in all flavors and sizes, in an amical and clean atmosphere.
