At the Olomega Lagoon visitors can choose from Kayaking, artisanal fishing, bird watching or enjoying a day of relaxation. It is located in between San Miguel and La Union. This destination attracts many Salvadorans and foreigners.
Olomega is the largest body of fresh water in the eastern part of El Salvador with an area of 24.2 square kilometers that is inhabited by the Olomega and Olomeguita islands, along with other islets. It was declared a Wetland of International Importance on February 2, 2010, by the Ramsar Convention.
Abundant flora and fauna with breathtaking views, especially as you hike along some of the surrounding hills, such as Nariz del Diablo, La Chirinaca and La Garrocha.
