Chinameca is a traditional town which has become the departure point for adventures and walks towards its natural attractions.

Chinameca is a municipality located in the eastern zone of El Salvador with a wide-ranging fauna, among which are migratory and poultry birds, pigs, cattle; exuberant flora, mainly in the Tecapa-Chinameca mountain range, El Limbo hill, El Pacayal, and other mountainous areas of this city cultivated with coffee plantations and other species where laurel, cacahuanance, cedar, guachipilín, mother cacao, conacaste standout.
Some recommended places to visit in this municipality are Cerro el Pacayal located at only 5 km from the city of Chinameca, the wide caldera known as El Pacayal dry lagoon, and fumaroles on the north side, the hill has been the site of a geothermal exploration program, and to the north is the Chaparrastique Volcano and the waters of the Pacific Ocean.
Besides this town has several crystalline water springs, geysers and other mountainous areas that adventure minded tourists can visit.
