geo East Zone: San Miguel

If you enjoy hot weather, you should visit this cozy municipality in the eastern part of the country whose main landscape is the Chaparrastique Volcano.

This municipality is the home of the traditional San Miguel Carnival that is held every year on the last weekend of November and that floods its streets with orchestras where the colorful parade goes by. This activity attracts nationals and foreigners, especially Salvadorans living abroad.

Upon visiting this place, do not miss the magnificent Cathedral of Our Virgin of the Peace (Basilica Santuario Nuestra Señora de La Paz), the second largest in El Salvador after the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Salvador.

San Miguel is a modern city, with a great variety of tourist and gastronomic offerings, somewhat exotic, where you can taste the garrobo or clear iguana broth and the famous stuffed bread.

From this site, visitors can plan their adventure to other tourist attractions, you just have to embolden yourself to adventure.
