The Barra de Santiago beach has a representative area of the North pacific Central America mangroves.

It was declared as an international important Wetland on July 23rd, 2014, becoming a protected area by the International Important Wetland Relative Convention, specially as a habitat for aquatic birds (Ramsar Agreement).

If you like to enjoy a little bit of adrenaline, you can practice kayaking, sailing and water sky. This beach offers a great variety of gastronomy.
